An agency-style speed-to-lead setup built only with GoHighLevel's native features: a workflow sends the first text, and a Conversation AI bot handles the replies, collects details and books the appointment.

## Steps

1. **Calendar.** Create (or pick) the calendar the bot will book into and set its availability, duration and buffer times. Give it a clear name and description.
2. **Conversation AI bot.** Go to **AI Agents > Conversation AI > + Create Bot**, choose **Guided Form Setup**, then the **Appointment Booking** bot type. Pick or create a Brand Voice.
3. **Bot goals.** Choose the details to collect (name, email, phone) and add your qualification questions as objectives. Turn on **Skip if Already Filled** so it doesn't re-ask what the form already captured.
4. **Booking.** Enable **Appointment Booking** and select your calendar. Decide whether the bot may cancel or reschedule.
5. **After booking.** Turn on putting the bot to sleep after a booking, and add a workflow under **Trigger Workflows After Appointment Booking** (for example, notify the assigned user and move the opportunity stage).
6. **First touch workflow.** In **Automation > Workflows**, create a workflow triggered by your lead source (for example, a form submission), add a **Send SMS** action with a short, personal opener that asks one question, and publish it.
7. **Test, then go live.** Run the bot in **Suggestive** mode first, review its replies, then switch to **Auto-Pilot**.

## Example first-touch SMS

```text
Hi {{contact.first_name}}, thanks for reaching out to {{location.name}}! Quick question so we can help: what are you hoping to get done? Reply STOP to opt out.
```

## Failure modes

- The bot books into the wrong calendar or outside hours if availability isn't set; test bookings before Auto-Pilot.
- Two automations texting the same lead (your workflow and the bot) feels spammy; give each one a clear job.
- SMS sending rules (opt-in, STOP handling, carrier registration such as A2P 10DLC in the US) still apply; unregistered numbers get filtered.
- The bot keeps chatting after a booking unless you put it to sleep after booking.
